Both acts were issued on 27’th of March, 2007. E-crimes act was issued to combat information electronic crimes, by defining those crimes and penalties upon them. E-transactions act was issued to regulate electronic transactions and electronic signatures in a policy frame work, and combat any misuse of them by defining responsibilities, and penalties.
